We first met local artist Paul Kenton last year when he came to us with a clear vision for his camper van. He brought along a stunning 4x4 medium-wheelbase Crafter, and we handled the rest.
This conversion is built to go anywhere. Inside, it's equipped with underslung water tanks, a hot water system, and a fully waterproof rear shower room finished in a durable Line-X coating. This space also features a custom canvas cupboard, perfect for storing his painting gear on the road. A spacious pull-out bed sits at the heart of the van, alongside bespoke kitchen units and a fitted microwave. The entire setup is powered by a Victron Energy system and MiPV solar panels, creating a completely gas-free environment.
For the exterior, we went all-in to create a true off-road machine. Upgrades include a front bull bar, snorkel pipe, rear ladder, storage box, and wheel carrier from Dutch Van Parts and T5Upgrades. We also added Lazer Lamps spotlights, and a side ladder and running bars from CJL Leisure. The build is finished with rugged Rhino UK Swamper wheels and BFGoodrich tires.
This van is more than just a camper—it's an off-grid, off-road escape ready for adventure. We loved working with Paul to bring his vision to life and can't wait to see the journeys it takes him on.
